Q. What is the geographic area of the Des Moines Downtown Chamber?
A. The Des Moines Downtown Chamber is bordered on the south by the Raccoon River, east by the Des Moines River, west by Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, and north by University Avenue, but it is built to serve anybody doing business in the downtown area, no matter your physical location.

A. Your businesses does not need to be located in the physical area to make the connections that count.
Q. Are small businesses involved in the Chamber?
A. The majority of our businesses are small businesses. The Chamber supports large and small businesses alike by providing professional development, networking and marketing opportunities.
Q. Do I need to be a member to attend Chamber functions?
A. Chamber programs are a benefit of membership and are intended for employees of member companies only; however, a few events are open to the public. Prospective members are always welcome to attend one of our programs to learn more about us.

A. Chamber members enjoy exclusive opportunities to broaden their customer base by hosting a Business After Hours event, a Downtown Council meeting and other events. Members also receive a listing on our website Membership page, with a link to their website. The Chamber also works with other organizations to promote downtown Des Moines as a place to live, work and play.

A. The Chamber works on your behalf regardless of your involvement, but active participation significantly enhances the value you receive by delivering connections that count.
